My favourite book is Gone with the wind. It is about a girl who live in a hard period. Her life is a difficult one but she grow up with strong mind. Her toughness gave me a surprise. That is a reason why I chose this book the best. Extensive reading itself is not so hard work for me, but last semester, we had a limit. Besides, it was easy to chose favourite kind of story in SALC (love story, drama,etc) , but in liburary, they were not categorized! Difficult to find good books!! These made me tired. However, if this class did not have this activity, I guess that I did not read many books. So I think this task is necessary for me to keep reading.
I read Japanese novels almost once a week this summer, because during semester, I could not read alot... you know, we had extensive reading!!ha ha. I thought that how easy to read Jpanese novels compering English one. I never read Haruki Murayama's book. but soon, the movie Forest of Norway will come with my fabourite acter Kenichi Matuyama. Actually, I love him so much!!! So I am going to read it.

I had to read Gone With the Wind when I was a student but it is about 1000 pages long so I felt it was too long and boring!!
Anyway, glad you could catch up on reading in Japanese over the summer. Good luck for extensive reading in semester 2!!
