there are so many brands and designers in France. each of them have their own history. Chanel, Christian Dior... make own style and new fashion. some designers like to make clothes which they really want to, they do not concern about trend, what people want. Fashion is not only clothes but also small items. for example, bags, jewelry, perfume... some brands get 80% of their money from perfumes.

this book is not a novel and short. so it was easy to read because i did not have to remember who is she or he! lol i am sometime confused many character in novels written in English.
Gabriell (Coco) Chanel's life was wonderful. she was born in 1883 in French. her parents did not have much money and after her mother died, her father sent her to a school and then, he never appeared. when she left school, she started to sing in bar and got her name "Coco". at this bar, she met a young man. this was her turning point! then she began to make hat for his friends.
only a year later, she opened hat store! then she became famous designer gradually. and now, everybody know Chanel!!!!

this book has a lot of pictures, i also enjoy watched them! rate is 4.
level is easy for me.
